All depends on the miles and condition of the car. I had an 83 bird that I had to rebuild because the prior owner didn't know brakes and couldn't change tires. The caliper were grooving the rotor. It was bad news. Bearings had to be packed etc. I paid $700 for the car and immediately replaced plugs wires rocker gaskets changed oil ATF and it's filter. I later resold for $1300 after replacing the transmission. It all depends on who is buying the car and what they know about cars and what they are will g to give out of the pocket
