What is wrong with 1999 Pontiac firebird/transam...I have done everything I possibly can to get it running back n tip top shape. It is not letting me drive over 40mph even with the pedal to the floor.

The guy I bought it from said it was the fuel
pump so I bought a new one, that didn't
solve it. I have flushed the fuel lines. Done
everything I possibly no of to do. Help???

Yuck... I'm sorry but you bought a boat, ("b"ail, "o"ut, " a"nother, "t"thousand) there is quite a bit it could be... It could be anything from coil rails to timing sensors,... I know its not the same make or modle but u had to replace the distributor " or equivalent of on a 99 camaro ls1. After I went through "ASE" certified techs they were still stumped... I'd go get your money back under lemon law... If u can... It's a dead weight unless u want to invest thousands
I would look the crankcase sensor, the catalytic converter also look to see what the fuel pressure is at the rails..
check the TPS The position sensor, or the idle position cylinoid I believe it is? Yeah it sounds like the guy stuck you with a bad car I'm sorry.
