New headlight motor won't move

I just swapped the headlight motor on my driver side but it will not move with
the switch. I can manually move it with ease and the fuse is not blown. Do
these motors need to ground somewhere? I am extremely confused as I have
tried everything

I know, but where do these things ground? is it the opposite wire or the case?
I think it's an integrated ground within the wiring harness it's not like a separate wire going off of it I think it's all integrated into the harness.
