how do i fix my headlights

i have a 1998 firebird and i replaced driverside headlight motor  and it still does not go up i have to wine it up to have lights and when i turn my lights of i hear a grinding noise for about 5 seconds and when i set my alarm my head light goes up and still hear a grinding nosie  how can i fixed this ?

The motor that lifts and lowers the light is bad. Replacing or repairing it will be needed. If you can handle it, both the motors and, at least for some model years, a rebuild kit with a stronger internal gear is available.
