97 trans am ram air died and wont start back

Asked by Hgk4life Aug 03, 2015 at 09:17 AM about the 1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took off rough in 2nd(automatic) let off to
shift to 3rd it sputtered and died tried to start
back, it tried to start then just died again.
Got towed home broke line loose from filter
o engine Side, it had pressure, cycled pump
with key and fuel flow came out of filter from
tank but not really hard or spraying flow.
Please help?

First try replacing fuel filter and if problem continues replace fuel pump.

Thank you for the fast response. If the filter doesn't cure it and I get a pressure tester what kind of pressure should it be showing and where do I hook it in system? Thanks again

Just do what you did the first time after replacing fuel check fuel flow should have a a strong study stream.
