what's it worth?

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

i have a 96 pontiac firebird v8 5.7 liter firebird very
cool car anyways it recently overheated and i dont
know what's going on with it still after coming back
from the mechanics seems to be running worse
long story short I cant afford to put the money into
it and selling as it is it may need a new motor I
need to know even though the work that it may
need to go back into it what should be a fair selling
price to let her go because I dont wanna get
screwed and the car still does start does no smoke
from anywhere  it still runs but just no one to help
me detect the core problem and I am having a hard
time letting it go for just anything I known the value
of this car if it had no problems and tons of people
are adamant about getting it and there's a reason
why and for that reason I feel I need another
opinion on how much 2 sell her for as is..please
thank you for your time god bless..

With a bad engine I would say maybe $1,000 depending on what shape the rest of the car is in.
