Any idea on what this car is worth it is a one-owner 91000 original miles also where do I see what number the car is when it was manufactured underneath the hood it says number 11 is that the number car off the manufacturer line that was made everything is original no cracks in the dashboard no tears in the convertible roof
There were a total of 551 domestic 1991 Trans Am convertibles made. They can be identified by a 3 as the 6th digit in the VIN. There is no sequence of VIN's that identified these cars as they were made by taking them off the assembly line at the Van Nuys, Ca. plant as TTop cars and then sent to ASC a sub-contractor in the area for convertible conversion. If you look at the driver's side door jam, ASC labeled each car and the label shows the manufacture date at the time of conversion. Not sure where you are seeing the number 11. Mine has a label identifying it as a "Test and Engineering" model identified as "CPC-E3". I think it was used by the plant to do emissions validation prior to sale. You can look in several places to validate you have the original engine and transmission since the last 6 digits of the VIN were stamped on the components. The bank value of $17K seems a bit high. Most original vehicles like this go for under $15k and more like $10K but that depends on condition and miles driven. If you are buying it, I would try to negotiate a lower price. Good luck.
