Pontiac Firebird 1994 3.4l security light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi I've recently bought a pontiac firebird the car
doesn't have keys as previous owner bought
from a scrap yard he has bypassed the
immobiliser and the car has a push button start
occasionally the security light comes on and I'm
unable to start the car I have tried to contact
electronic mechanics near me but they don't
seem to want to touch it due to it being
American any advice?

The reason they don't want to touch it is not because it's American. Unless you are outside North America, (?) but still... that does not make sense. They don't want to have anything to do with a car that has had the anti-theft immobilizer disabled and no keys and let me guess.. no paperwork/title? No salvage title?

I'm in the UK and yes all paperwork and HPI clear they had no idea about the no keys I just phoned and asked about the security light issue and as soon as I said that it was a pontiac they didn't want to know
I would say go online do a search with your vIn and what you need to do is pair the key with your VATS system its a security box that communicates to the keys so you can start the car and you have to find the code for the key that matches your security system and you're going to have to do that with your vin code and do online searches I would say also talk to a GM corporate office to get the technology information prove who you are you might have to go into an office somehow or faxing information and then they will release your security information for your vehicle to make sure you're not a thief that's what I would assume try to search there.
