Idk thats why im trying to figure it out.. the alternator died so i changed the alternato . And the belt.. it never squeaked before until the alternator died..
I was thinking the blower motor.. cause it doesnt have very good heat in the car.. and i changed the thermostat and the heater control valve.. and still bearly any heat.. so my next option was the blower motor.. for that reasoning
the little electric motor is in your car by the heater core and would not have anything to do with putting pressure on your belt- I would guess there is something else wrong- are you turning the AC on by mistake? or is something else on that drive belt going out? or is the noise something else, other than a drive belt?
No its coming from the belt.. caise when i spray the belt it.stops.. untilthe moister is gone..
You will probably need to change the idler for your serpentine belt. It is probably shot and not providing enough tension to keep the belt from squeeling under load. Easy part to swap out. If you are hearing the squeel when you turn the heat on, you are probably energizing your AC compressor that is also run by this belt. The compressor runs in most of your Heat/Cool selections on your control panel.
Thats what i was thinking.. the ac compressor does not kick on.... and it only squeals when heater is on.. i can turn it off and it stops..
