Power loss

I have a 1992 formula firebird with the stock 305
and 5 speed transmission, whenever I go to get on
it it feels slow and laggy getting up to speed I have
no clue what could be the matter. Also whenever I
am accelerating I feel a shake and whine from the
passenger side... any ideas?
