If your IMS is 17 years old you may want to replace it and install the oil kit (belt and suspenders).

The IMS Solution provides a pressure fed plain bearing (like your main and rod bearings) and is a permanent fix for the IMS problem, especially for the 2000-2005 cars that have the weakest single row IMS bearing.

Ok makes sense although the 1900.00 + install kit is a hard one to swallow is there any other option or does anyone rent out install kits??
