Hi. What's the "dummy fuse" in the fuse box for Porsche Boxster? Battery is out of car and truck latch won't open. Help. Thanks.

The release cable is under the passenger side head light. Access is by folding back the fender liner and pulling the cable. Not sure by what you mean by "dummy fuse"? Sometimes spare fuses are kept in the fuse box but have no function in the stored positions.

In the fuse panel box there is a red "fuse" that slides out (not all the way, about one inch) so that you can connect power to be able to use the electronic trunk release. Use the door hinge as a ground for the negative power cable.

Think he has taken battery out but cannot open hood & trunk as they are both locked as there is no power - suggest you use Stephens suggestion then re-install battery.
