Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi there,
I made the big mistake of trying to get into the engine of my 1998 996 six speed to change the starter motor.
Everything was going well until i was putting everything back together.
As i was putting the rear (closest to the back of the car) right hand side plenum boot back on i pull the other end of the pipe that is attached to it off.
I have no idea where this pipe goes and am wondering can anyone shed some light on the matter. I have looked at tech manuals and am at a loss.
Many thanks for any assistance.
