Worried about pricing / collectibility / appreciation (depriciation) ... Thoughts ??

To me is sounds high. but never the less it is your decession. I would still take it to a mechanic to get it looked at and you might want to get it apperaised, I know that might cost a bit but it might only be worth 35-40k and you would be over-paying. on these high-end cars that is always a great thing to do. If the present owner objects, I would walk away. But again it all boils down to your choice and how much you are willing to pay. You mentioned that you are "Worried about pricing / collectibility / appreciation (depriciation)" if it is not worth 62k (appraisal will tell you that) and you buy it, if it is only worth 40k, you just lost 22k. I would go with your appraisal guy, I have seen some cars sell for a crazy price and the old owner had a "cooked" appraisal done on the car. But as I said, it is your money and your choice. I would have it appraised also by an outside source. It would be better if the auto was all original down to all the bones would be worth more appraisal wise. It comes down to research against others of same quality. How long have you been looking for this type of auto?
