possible o2 sensor failing
O2 sensors don't cause OD lights to flash! You need to hook up a scan tool and read the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) You have a ton of miles on that Transmission - more than most people - and I must commend you for maintaining it! But, it's possible that it is tired and needs to be refreshed (re-sealed). OD light can be a failing solenoid, sensor out of range, slipping Torque Converter clutch - a large variety of things. Get the codes - see what the computer says is wrong.
My 96 V6 had the same problem. It was a solenoid in the tranny which required changing. Not a big or expensive job for a tranny person, if that is what the problem is. My tranny guy told me when it lights up and begins to blink to immediately drive it over to his shop and not turn off the engine. He had to diagnosis it while the light was doing it's dance.
