Need a list of MUST CHECK for repair,replacement from a 1997 SAAB 2Dr SE Convertible, Talladega Turbo, 77000 miles  Plz help me asap

depends on engine, trans, etc... Being a rag top check for water leaks and rattles and that the top is in good shape. Always check for Oil leaks, check for engine sludge especially if its a turbo car. SID unit will go bad if it hasnt already its very common! Ignition coils are known for being little trouble makers too but they dont give a warning, when they go they go. And finally check the sellers service records if he doesnt have any get the VIN and check the local SAAB dealer for the records (if its been serviced there) SAABS are very good cars when properly maintained. Also the SAAB community are always willing to help ( www.thesaabsite.com www.saabcentral.com www.saabsunited.com) just to name a few. Good Luck!

hi,if your are buying a convertible,make sure you see the roof working mine has failed 2 times cost me £700,cant remember what it was but it was not the motor,beware if it is a auto to check lights on start up they must all go out.Apart from that ive had it 4 years.its lovely in the summer a bit chillie in the winter.take care Debbie.
