1995 saab 900 2 Dr SE Turbo or 2001 Saab 9-5 SE turbo?

Asked by mrk50 May 24, 2013 at 11:22 AM about the 1995 Saab 900 2 Dr SE Turbo Hatchback

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Trying to decide between these two cars. The 900 has new tires, new exhaust, new
turbo put in, a lot of nice body work done, and is in excellent condition for the age with
150xxx miles. The 9-5 is in decent condition. Interior is pretty dirty and doesn't look
like its been well taken care of lately. It has 160xxx miles on it. Looks wise i like the
900 much more, but i need something thats gonna be reliable and run through 200,000.
Prices are similar, basically i just wanna know which will be the more reliable car?

the 900 is by far your better option, even being 6 years older. theyll both get you through 200k miles, but the 900 is more reliable for sure. this coming from a current owner of the '95 900 se turbo. Awesome car, easy to get attached!
