Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ran over dead deer in road. I straddled it once I saw it, couldn't avoid it. No
damage up front, but  I guess that it hit where the spare tire in the trunk is
lower, Haven't jacked her up yet to look underneath. Drove it the rest of the
way home, over 50 miles, Runs great. When I ran over the deer, it was like
hitting a bump at 60 mph. Why would the fuel guage quit working? Any help
will be appreciated.

You may have damaged the wire going to the gas tank sensor.

If it was working before you hit deer,Full Of Regrets is dead on.

If wiring is good and no damage, you might have a stuck float in tank from the jar/bump.
