Just replace car battery and as soon as I started car very rough idle. And battery light on dash is still on. Drove and missing very bad, no power. Finally drove home on freeway motor felt like it wanted to die. After about 8 to 10 miles ran better. Only a little miss and hesitation. But battery light on dash still on. What can I do. Will try to disconnect negative cable for 10-15 mins. possibly computer needs to reset. But why is battery light on? Some Fuse maybe?

You have already re-set ECU. After 10 miles, done. Don't disconnect battery cable again, you will be right back where you started. Yup, it is normal and expected for it to run rough for a 'while' For example my Toyota when I bought a new battery it took about 10 miles. --- Now, the light on is an indicator that the new battery is not accepting a charge. To begin, make sure cables are tight. I assume they are clean with new battery... but if you installed it yourself you will know. But if some parts guy did it in the parking lot... double check his (her?) work. Maybe, just maybe, it could be a fuse or diode in alternator if it got cross-wired for even an instant --- like a wrench upon battery that touched Red+ to ground

Took the car to another auto store and had electrical system checked, alternator was not putting out enough (diode) out. Bought a new alternator and light turned off , problem fixed.
