Does anyone know if you can change seats from a
1997 Lexus ES 300 to a  1998 Lexus ES 300. Are
the bolt configurations and the electrical
connections the same?

Not 100% sure but I would guess since they are of the same generation vehicle and body style

Measure and compare before buying but there is a good chance they will work.
