Lexus ES300 driver's door won't open from inside or oitside

Asked by Northern_Tarheel Oct 28, 2017 at 01:06 PM about the 2002 Lexus ES 300 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my wife's 2002 Lexus ES300 and the
driver's door would not open.   The lock is locking
and unlocking but the door will not open.   I know
this will be painstaking to get the panel off.   If I
can fix it myself though I'd really prefer that than
taking it to the dealer.   Please any help would be
greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problems, was quoted $400 to fix. I'm hoping to find something on the web much cheaper.

There is a second screw under the window button panel. Pop the panel up and out, you'll see it there
