Ok today I went out to start the car, it turned over as usual but it caught for a second. Attempted a few more times same thing happened maybe three other times, not back to back but maybe ever other crank. What should I do?

You need fuel, air and spark. Pull a spark plug, reconnect the lead, rest the threaded part of the plug on a grounded engine part (the round lift ring bolted to the top of the engine is good), crank the engine and check to see if you have a spark. If not, it may be your distributor or coil. Make sure your cable connections from coil to distributor are good and check spark again. If you have spark, try a shot of starting fluid into the air intake manifold. If it fires and dies, you may have a fuel/electric issue. Do you hear the fuel pump whir sound when you turn the ignition key on but not all the way to crank the starter? If you don't hear the fuel pump, the problem could be in there. This is only a start but fairly easy to run through. Good luck
