Extremely loud clunking noise that drives me nuts.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I just bought a used 2006 saturn vue with 130,000 miles
and when I went down a road with a bunch of bumps I
noticed theres a really loud clunking noise coming from the
front, it almost feels like the whole engine is just gonna fall
out or theres something loose. I went over a decent bump
and felt my steering wheel jump up as well. I dont have any
issues steering, no codes or check engine light.

This is why you have a mechanic check out the car before buying. At the very least you take it on a good test drive which would have shown up this problem.
F_O_R I dont see how that's helpful. I did take it on a test drive through city streets and the interstate but unfortunately I didnt take it on a bumpy road until after the purchase. Not everyone has the luxury of affording a mechanic to check it out. I got a carfax and it was perfect. If you have any real advice, that would be appreciated. Thanks.
This forum is read by other people. Maybe your mistake will help other people. You will find that skipping the "luxury" of a $100 mechanics check may cost you thousands!
A CarFax does not cover the current condition of the car. All it does it tell you if there were accidents, if it is a clean title and how many owners the car had.
F_O_R yes that's true and I agree but again, not everyone is in the position to afford that. I'll pay for my mistake, I'm asking for advice on what's wrong with it. Not advice on what I should have done. Thank you.
The inspection would have saved you money, not cost you money. Some people have to learn the hard way. Now all you can do is pay for the repairs that someone else should have paid for.
Unless you are a mechanic you will have to pay a mechanic to inspect it and repair it. Possible problems are the suspension, motor mounts etc like the first reply said.
You took it on a test drive on normal road conditions and it was fine, but on bumpy roads it made the clunking noise? I would start by looking over the vertical parts of the suspension system
