Rough running truck

Asked by GuruWF24T May 27, 2018 at 01:30 PM about the 1995 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my truck home the gauge for the
temperature went to 3/4. Truck started to run
rough I got it home left to cool overnight top the
radiator off of water started the truck and sounds
like I've lost compression. When you drive the truck
down the road it has no power but if you rev the
engine in neutral to three or four grand it acts like it
has power. What could have happened or what do I
need to check out next. I did put new timing belt
plugs wires but I have three settings on my timing
cover one says BC One says TC and one says ATC
what setting do I need to set it on
