subaru baja 2.5 82,103 miles turbo problems

Asked by hoppy01123 Jan 25, 2014 at 02:58 PM about the 2005 Subaru Baja Turbo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was bringing the car home from putting all belts on. about 26 miles through a hard rain
storm. I hit a lot of pockets of water on the road with force.
could this caused the turbo bearing to blow? with salt water and dirt from the road?
could it have got to my air cleaner to plug it up?  thank you very much,    bob hopkins

Not likely if the car has a stock air intake. What exactally is the turbo doing?
