What's It Mean When U Disconnect The Negetive Trerminal For 20 Minutes To R...

I disconnect the battery to reset the pcm/ecm but the codes are still there.and if I tap the negative cable to the post several times my truck starts up but dies in a feew seconds.

I Need Help With My 1994 Dodge Ram 1500/5.9l

problem,truck won't start.i have replaced plugs,wires,distibutor cap,cam sensor.got spark fuel pressure is good.replaced the regulator/fuel filter and still nothing. I AM AT A LOSS!!!
