How many bolts does the fuel tank on a 1993 Chevy Suburban have and where are they located

93....as I recall there are two straps about an inch wide about 18" apart, two front, two back (4) bolts total think they're 1/2" or 5/16-18 threads each...typical GM construction.

Some people will go ahead and cut the straps as the threads may be rusted to a nightmare level on that old of a rig. Then with the tank out, you can readily attack the rusted ends. Obviously you'll have to buy new straps, but it may save you a ton of grief.

be nice if we actually knew from the origin of the question..used to live in the rust belt, where they mercilessly scattered rock salt....fifteen years of not any salt in California, it's hard for me to envision having to grind the bolts off~ but if this is what it takes to get to the tank...To finally answer your question the gas tank at the rear of the vehicle~
