In the 2010 Dodge Journey, try replacing the various fuses and relays that are used to start it first. These fuses and realys are cheap and you can replace them yourself. Just google the fuse box diagram and go to the local parts store.

Maybe it's like my car I keep turning and eventually it starts sometime I put it in nutral and it cranks some are telling me to flask the computer I believe because things act crazy like one of my keys will both work like it was deprogram

I had the same issue took it to the dealership they gave me an outrageous price to fix it $$$ in the thousands, none which included what the real issue was. I took the vehicle home called a locksmith, had them replace my key fob and 10months later I'm still riding. But the issue just happen again the first time my vehicle did not read that my key was bad this time it came up BAD KEY calling the locksmith back to fix this and I'm trading in this piece of crap car.

Did you ever figure out what the issue was with the “bad key” error. We just bought our 09 journey from an auction and it doesn’t start. Stating bad key. Just replacing battery worked for a couple of months? @ohpreciousone
