Question type: Maintenance & Repair
2009 Altima... Driving home heard a pop thought it
was my right tire. Heard something like flapping
and rocks under my car. Motor shut of about 30
seconds later. Tire is fine. When you push tge
button to start the Dash lights and fans all still
come on but can does not start. Car did not run
hot. Battery is brand new. Oil still looks clean just
had it changed about a month ago. What could be
the problem???

Did you look under the car?
Perhaps a belt or something broke. Also it is possible the engine has had a serious issue.

Same problem, I had my steering lock mechanism replaced fixed my issue once, second time I replaced the break lamp switch at a nissan dealer ship fixed it. 3rd time no vluem i hit the break push to start dash lights up radiator fan turns on but car will not crank. Could it spark plugs or a starter solenoid?
