Probably at least a few grand in shipping fees, but I don't know if it will pass CA emissions, so you might have a problem there.
I don't know. But I'm guessing it's going to cost more than what the car's worth. Imported cars need to be able to pass smog every 2 years just like regular US cars, so you'd probably need to retrofit smog equipment from a 95 eclipse GSX onto that car and bring it to the state ref to get checked.
well the only way to get around the smog controll upon inporting the car is to ship the motor and the car sepperate. If the motor is not in a car then it dose not have to have emissions. But depending where you live you might have to intall emissions controll's when the motor is rejoined. they wont import a car without emissions. So pull the motor!!
First off why do you want the Evo III? Why dont you try to get the Evo VI or even the Evo V. The Evo VI is just as good as the IX maybe even better because it has a stiffer suspension so it doesnt have as much body roll. The Evo I, II, III are mediocre compared to the rest plus they are hideous and probably would be beat to shit. Second why would you import one from china that does make any sense they are made in Japan? it depends on the condition obviously and miles. look at Japan-partner.com. the car you want would probably run you say 2-5 k plus shipping would cost probably around 5k plus all the fees to make it legal so all said and done it would cost you around 13k for it.
i found one for you http://www.japan-partner.com/Auto/6992/Mitsubishi/LANCER/car-for-sale.html
