now we have 265/70/17 tires can we put on 235/65/17 ?

You will lose a lot of ground clearance! Why would you want to put skinny, short tires on your Expedition? Those tires would be 2 1/2" shorter and about 1 1/4" narrower. When your speedometer says 60, you would be actually going only 55 mph. Here is a tire size calculator ---- https://tiresize.com/
