Check engine light on Mazda6 2008

Asked by Jessica Jul 04, 2018 at 10:43 AM about the 2008 Mazda MAZDA6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just had my fuel pump replaced. When I got the car back
my check engine and oil light came on about half hr after
driving it. I checked my oil and it was low (weird bc I just
had a oil change 2 weeks ago) i added 1 bottle of Mobile
oil. The oil light went off but check engine light still on and
it makes a weird noise now. Sounds like a tractor trailer
engine. When I went to auto zone they pulled up the
following code in the picture. Any ideas?

Hope this did not jump timing. Sounds like the sensor is doing it's job and doubt replacing that sensor will help. There may be a blockage in the variable valve timing filter or have a phaser issue causing the timing to jump. Did they put the right oil in the vehicle? If not could be another factor. Good Luck and Happy 4th!
