our 2004 SRX wont start

2004 SRX wont start.  Symptoms before this was dimming lights at a stoplight.  
Revving helped, but finally parked it, then wouldn't start at all.  Replaced battery
with no result at all.  No sounds, or clicking.  What should we look into to be the
cause.
