Car over heating

Asked by Christine431974 Aug 03, 2018 at 05:57 PM about the 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has been over heating I already replaced
the thermostat, radiator cap and did a coolant
system flush now I'm hearing bubbling when I turn
my car off after out driving it...what could be
causing that and could that be contributing to the
over heating problem? Thanks!

Bleed air from system like this. Remove cap from overflow tank fill with antifreeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle you will notice level in tank start to rise this is normal once thermostat starts to open level in tank will drop add more antifreeze to full mark then put cap back on.

I had overheating problems 1 year ago . It was a nightmare with mechanics of every persuasion finding nothing I was eventually sent to an electrician who found that my cruiser , maybe all cruisers have a two speed fans. When idling the faster speed kicks in , but mine had a lousy connection and only the slower speed fan worked . He changed the connection for peanuts and I have had no problems since .!! *2001 1 Cruiser living in Mexico
