Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For about three seconds the engine
light even flashed. I know I need to
take my car in ASAP, I'm just curious
if anyone might now what the issue
may be and what it could cost me?

It could be many different things. It's impossible to estimate a cost without knowing the problem.

Does it happen every time you start the car? How many miles are on it? When did you last have maintenance performed on the ignition system, primarily plugs and plug wire replacements? Did you tighten the gas cap up all the way the last time you got gas? Did you potentially get bad gas?

yes,,,,I agree,,,,,,Go fill up the tank with good gas like from CHEVRON super unleaded and get a inject cleaner and see what happens,,,
