I am having multiple issues with my 2009 Sonata

Asked by JanlizRad Oct 14, 2014 at 10:51 AM about the 2009 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: General

This year I had the 4 issues and no one seems to find anything wrong when I take my car in.

1. I was driving for a minute out of my apartment and stopped at gate and car shut off completely, but start right up, drove right to mechanic and they found nothing wrong.

2. Driving for less than 5 minutes to gas station. Got gas and car would not start at first, but eventually did start when I put the car in neutral.  That week, I got a new battery put in.

3. 2 months later, I went to start my car and it did nothing. Then, I tried again and the interior things came on and radio came on but would not crank. Then I waited tried again and it tried to turn but it didn’t. It finally started after multiple cranking attempts. The clock and radio stations were all reset.

4. 1 month later, Just this weekend, I just started my car up and driving through my apartment and stalled out, but started up immediately. I took it in and no error code showed up.

Check the fuel filter and fuel pump relay and fuel pump, they will cause random cutoff,s and slow cranking, you can have this checked by checking the fuel pressure, this will show no code,s.
