Just bought a 2004 dodge neon for our grand daughter. It has 76000 miles. Within 2 weeks we have started hearing a knocking/ticking noise. It is back at the dealer now. What could it be.

Knocking and ticking oh my; not usually too good. It's back at the dealer and where I come from he fixes it for free or gets reported to the dealers association, the Better Business Bureau and the Ministry of Consumer and Corporate Affairs if he doesn't stand 100% behind a 2 week old sale. I HOPE YOU HAVE THE SAME TYPE of PROTECTION

a ticking could be a valve out of adjustment or badly worn.
