I have a 1997 Dodge neon with the 2.0 liter engine and the 5 speed transmission, I've had it for right around 2 1/2 weeks now and it runs great with a few dings and dents.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

But my high beams on my headlights never worked but my low beams
did and one day I parked the car and visisted family for awhile then went
to leave and tryed to turn on my headlights and now all of a sudden they
don't turn on at all.... but for some odd reason the running lights come on
when I pull the switch to turn on my headlights so now I don't have
headlights period. What would cause this? I was told my switch or my
fuses or maybe even one of the circuits under the hood. I checked my
fuse box and found the headlight fuses but they didn't look bad so I don't
think its that but what do you think?

its the switch there are small brass pieces that when you pull or turn the switch they make a hot contact if no contact is made well guess what? no power. if thats not it then you could have a bad ground problem.best way to figure out your problem is to get a test light turn on the lights and unplug one of the light and see if there is power going to them, and like i said bad switch or bad ground
