my dodge will not start unless i push it down a small hill please help

I really need some help guys. I just started working on a dodge dakota 2000 5 speed v6
Magnum. It started up fine few days ago but I was switching the gears and it stalled of
course but wouldn't crank back up I tried push starting it and it cranked right up I went
to park it and put the emergency brake on and now it won't   crank unless I push it
down a small hill please help me I have no idea what to do I just need some closure it
has been sitting for about two years and the motor sounds fine please tell me what's
wrong CAR GODS.
