trans clicks when driving any ideas on what i need to do to fix this

i have an 88 s10 blazer the trabs is leaking a small amount of fluid but the levels show ok when i put it in gear the trans clicks when i am driving is there anyone that has any idea on what this might be and how i might be able to fix this

Hi slamminbeer, The clicking sound could be several things. You could be missing a tooth on a gear, you could be missing a tooth on the fly-wheel, your throw-out bearings could be going bad, or your parking stop could be interfering with the normal operation of the trans. With all that said, I would consult with a transmission specialist about what to do going forward. Good luck!
