Cant find the right AC compressor for 89 Cutlass Ciera
Doesn't sound it should be such a hard thing to do,
but I have contacted multiple parts places and
when I give them the info for my 2.5L 89 Olds
Cutlass Ciera, they come up with the same WRONG
part every time. The correct part, which I pulled off
my car has 2 slightly recessed connections to the
AC lines, but the part that every salvage yard and
parts store tries to sell me has one slightly
recessed port and another thats recessed about a
half an inch. Needless to say, this prevents the
high pressure line from forming a proper seal,
rendering the whole system useless. Can anyone
out there tell me if there's a reason that every
single salvage yard and used parts store is finding
the wrong part? And any suggestions for how I can
locate the right part? Thanks. On the right in the
pic is the correct part taken directly out of my
vehicle. On the left is the part I got from a salvage
yard that, so I'm told, also came directly out of an
89 cutlass ciera 2.5l. -.-
