Ingnition switch stay in start mode after key is removed, why?

After engine is turned off and keys removed, switch remain in start mode and
drain battery overnight. WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT JUMPER TO BATTERY,
CAR TRY TO START EVEN THOUGH IGNION KEY IS NOT IN THE
IGNITION.

Also check the wiring down by the starter. Make sure the battery cable at the starter is not touching anything else. Hope that helps! Jim

Starter solenoid, a part of the starter motor unit was bad. Repairs was done by replacing starter motor.
