Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my brake lights are not working. My reverse
light and turn signal lights come on, the tail lights
themselves come on it’s just when I hit the brakes
the lights do not come on. I have checked the
bulbs, all the fuses, and even replaced the brake
light switch still they are not working. Any help?

Did you check voltage and ground, anywhere? Use a test light. You can see that 20 amp fuse, not only check fuse, use a test light at the fuse to check for voltage, hot all the time. See the right side of stop lamp switch in diagram, that top wire is voltage to stop lamp switch, the bottom wire from, voltage from stop lamp switch, when switch is activated. You can see the wire colors. At the stop lamps in diagram, the top wire is voltage and the bottom black wire is ground, you need voltage and ground both. You can use a test light to check both voltage and ground.
