This isn`t really an answer it`s more like an add-on. My van had 74K when I bought it 18 months ago. The importance in this to me is I don`t have the SPRING that is being talked about either but maybe I`m looking for the wrong TYPE of spring, could it be flat instead of round. It was a city owned vehicle and well maintained except for sun damage. The dirt and stuff must be REALLY CRITICAL cause I blew out what little (very little) was in a few of the places mentioned and it works better. Not like new I`m sure but better. Maybe that was sort of an answer, hope it helps someone.

Spray a lubricant on every moving part of the door all rollers and pivot points
