Fuse for lighter

Asked by jtcool Feb 07, 2013 at 03:48 PM about the 2004 Honda Pilot

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 pilot. I shorted the lighter and the radio died.
Fuses under the hood are fine. Are there more fuses in this
car?

There's another fuse box on the passenger side near the door. Look for a yellow 20 amp fuse. Fuseable links protect the alternator.

Had the identical issue with a 2007 Pilot. The fuses were all intact yet there was no power to the radio and power outlet when the car was cold. A relay would switch on (it was audible) when the car warmed up. After many attempts at repairs, replacing the fuse box in the driver side panel solved the issue. The contacts were worn in such a way that good contact would not be made in the cold weather.
