Remote start now working after battery indication light is solid while driving prior to shutting vehicle off

Asked by GuruSL29J May 29, 2019 at 01:19 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My sister has a 2009 Cobalt.  The remote start works intermittently.   She says
that when driving the battery check light sometimes comes on.  It does not
flash, but is solid.  When it is on solid and she turns the vehicle off, the remote
will not work.  If the battery light does not come on when driving the remote will
work afterwards.  Any ideas?

I have had some charging system issues with my cobalt and have videos covering both issues. This 1st video goes over connections to check before you condemn the alternator. https://youtu.be/hH4AUaNBt9I This second video shows how to replace your alternator if it is in fact bad. https://youtu.be/nMrpC63syLY
