I recently purchased a 2001 maxima. It's already broken down twice and the dealer told me that it was a corroded wire leading to the alternator that was causing all the trouble. I have a 2007 nissan maxima se that makes a whining sound when starting and accelerating. I have hear so many different things, most of them expensive( $1500-$2600).
