Why wont it start if it has fuel pressure but still fires with starting fluid?

Asked by GuruFKRTD Apr 29, 2020 at 10:31 AM about the 2009 Volkswagen Passat

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I swapped out this motor in this 08 passat. Swap
went well and then I go to start it and I cranks great
but no start! Itll almost start with some starting
fluid. If checked fuel pressure and it has more than
enough pressure! Any ideas?

So I got it running but it's got a rough idle! Turned out it was the cam sensor! But the rough idle I think is the maf sensor because when I unplug it it runs better with it plugged in
