What is wrong with my car it want start until I boost it

Asked by lori2009 Sep 02, 2015 at 09:22 AM about the 2009 Acura TL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Every time I turn the car on it makes a little noise, however the lights, radio,
and air all come on then I give it a boost and it turns on. I stopped at an
auto store and they tested my battery, alternator, starter and everything
was positive some I'm not sure what the problem is. I got in the this
morning before work turned it on and it came right on. I got back in it 30
minutes later and it wouldn't turn on, so I had to bust it. I'm so
frustrated.....PLEASE HELP

If the battery light is not on and the alternator is changing at 14 volts remove and clean battery terminals first and if it still does it replace battery.

If that doesn't fix it. You have a direct short somewhere. Best way to tell is to unhook the positive terminal on the battery and rehook it. If it sparks you have a short

When you boost it are you putting the negative cable on the frame or the battery? If your doing it on the frame you could have a bad ground connection from the battery to the block and or frame.
