what kind of refrigerant is used for 2009 dodge 1500. i bought r-134a but not sure if its the right kind and where i hook it up

to what hose to start filling

not sure if r134 is right you can call advanced auto in claxton ga they can tell you 912-739-1998 . you have to hook it to the low side n shake the can . DO NOT hook it to the high side the can will explode . if you don’t know what you are doing its best to let someone who does fill it you can be seriously injured .
